Dr. Christine Hendon and Dr. Richard Ha were recently selected as a recipient of a 2017 Irving Institute Collaborative and Multidisciplinary Pilot Research award for Basic Science and Clinical/Translational Investigators (CaMPR-BASIC) for our project “Deep Learning for Computer Aided Identification of Breast Cancer Margins within Optical Images.” Award duration: August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018.

Congratulations to Mohammad Zaryab. He was awarded the Electrical Engineering MS Research Award during the annual End of the Year Awards Ceremony! This was in recognition for his contribution towards the ablation monitoring research project. Congratulations Mohammad!
Professor Christine Hendon is one of 102 scientists and researchers President Obama named as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). The PECASE award is the highest honor bestowed by the United States Government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers.
