The objective of the structure-function imaging laboratory is to develop high-resolution optical imaging modalities and real-time image analysis for diagnosis and therapy monitoring of diseases of the heart wall. Our research program ranges from basic science applications of understanding how cellular structures result in mechanical and electrical functional abnormalities, to translational applications for monitoring treatments of arrhythmia.
